Anna Blanch Rabe to Join United Way of Otero County, Inc Board of Directors
Alamogordo, NM – Anna Blanch Rabe & Associates announces that their Chief Executive Officer, Anna Blanch Rabe has been elected to the United Way of Otero County, Inc Board of Directors as part of their Annual General Meeting on 30th January 2017.
Michelle Brideaux, Director of Marketing & Fundraising for United Way of Otero County said “Having a strong, active and diverse board of directors is critical to the United Way of Otero County’s mission, and we are so grateful to our community members who have made the decision to join our board and dedicate their time and talents to our and our community’s success.” There were four new members of the Board elected last week, who join a strong team of Board Members from across the Otero County community.
“I am looking forward to serving the community – and United Way of Otero County – in this modest way.” said Ms. Blanch Rabe. “For a non-profit to function effectively, it must have a strong board, and I am excited to contribute my skills and experience to the Board of Directors of United Way of Otero County, Inc.”
Anna Blanch Rabe currently serves as the CEO of Anna Blanch Rabe & Associates LLC, a boutique communications consultancy specializing in shaping and executing the funding and communications strategies for social enterprises, non-profits, and businesses who see the growth of their local community as intertwined with their profits. While she lives in Alamogordo, New Mexico, she works with clients around the United States.
Also recently appointed to the City of Alamogordo Housing Authority Board, she was previously the Executive Director for Ninth Judicial District Family & Children’s Court Services Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit that has served the children and families of Curry & Roosevelt counties of New Mexico for almost 25 years. She served a member of the National Court Appointed Special Advocates Association Legal and Advocacy Committee and the New Mexico CASA Network. She has served on multi-disciplinary teams, and local Child Abuse task forces.
With professional training as a lawyer, and her experience in research, higher education, and management, Anna is also involved with local community organizations and to advocate for thoughtful community development and is a fervent advocate for educational opportunity. She’s a proud USAF spouse, is a key spouse mentor, and was honored to be named 2016 AFI Military Spouse of the Year for Cannon AFB. She is also a member of the rule change committee of the Military Spouse JD Network, and is a Chapter Lead for In Gear Career – Holloman Chapter.
Ms. Blanch Rabe stated: “I am excited about the opportunity to work with Otero County based non-profits in my role as board member with United Way of Otero County. I will do my best to help empower those who a making Otero County a great place to live for everyone. I would encourage any resident, especially military family members who may only be here for a number of years to find ways to contribute positively to the community.”
